Description : : |
This course provides mechanically
inclined public safety cyclists with skills to maintain the department fleet
and perform all but the most technical repairs. The emphasis of the curriculum
is on preventive maintenance, general repairs, and overhaul of component
groups. The course will cover component groups and the interrelated nature
of the individual parts, bike-specific tools, cleaning and inspection, periodic
maintenance and overhauls, and documentation. An in-house maintenance officer
translates into less bicycle downtime, fewer expensive repairs, and safer,
longer-lasting bicycles. Taught by professionally qualified bike maintenance
instructors, the Maintenance Officer Certification Course will prepare
you to ensure that your bike personnel have ready access to well-maintained
bicycles - a must for personal safety and effectiveness!
