INDUSTRY

Quick Links:

IPMBA is dedicated to developing positive working relationships with industry professionals who support and serve the public safety cycling community.

IPMBA is committed to advancing the development of products and technologies that assist the public safety cyclist, and to educate its members on products that have a positive impact on their daily duties.

The Industry Relations Committee, created in 2001, is charged with assisting IPMBA in reaching these goals. The committee is comprised of IPMBA members representing a variety of agency type: police departments, both large and small; EMS providers, campus police departments, and private security. The committee members are, among other duties, responsible for conducting product reviews and field tests in their quest to discover and help in the development of the very best products available.

Product Purchase Program

The IPMBA Product Purchase Program, or PPP, is one of the coolest benefits of IPMBA membership. Why is it the coolest? Because it saves you money!

The Product Purchase Program – IPMBA’s exclusive member discount program – was introduced as a benefit of membership in September of 1997 with four members. Today, the PPP features over 30 suppliers offering discounts to IPMBA members. Members who take advantage of these discounts can pay for their IPMBA memberships in just one purchase. The list of discounts goes on and on...bike seats, suspension, patrol shoes, bikes, training, lubes, gloves, lights, uniforms...

So when you need bikes, equipment, clothing, or accessories for on- or off-duty use, check the Product Purchase Program first, and watch your IPMBA membership pay for itself. Have your IPMBA membership number and expiration date when you place your order.

Ask the Industry Relations Committee
Ask the Industry Relations Committee! Do you have a question about bikes, accessories, uniforms or other public safety cyclist equipment? Are you seeking advice on how to effectively outfit your unit for duty? Would you like to know about any experiences your colleagues have had with a particular product? Ask the Industry Relations Committee! You will receive a reply within five days of posting your question.
